Every software team should strive for excellence in building security into their software and infrastructure. This is more crucial than ever, given increasing cyber security risks and growing enterprise liability awareness. The days when perimeter security alone could ensure resilient, secure systems are long gone. Threat modelling is a powerful practice that instills security thinking into software engineering teams, preventing potential attacks. It’s a risk-based approach to designing secure systems by identifying threats continually and developing mitigations intentionally. I will be introducing steps to do threat modelling in software teams with an established STRIDE framework.
In this talk Melissa is going to walk through my experience of leading an Automation Test strategy across an organisation. We’ll talk through how to get that balance right between test automation and hands on testing. Then we’ll delve deeper into the practicalities and common challenges with implementing that strategy. Lastly, we will go onto exploring tips to get started in Test automation with a handful of useful resources to explore.
