Although many QAs use Postman, they do not always explore its full potential. We will uncover the secrets of Postman for test automation, starting from basic API concepts to more advanced functionalities. We will learn to create collections, use variables and random data, execute automated test runs, and generate API documentation. Jonathas Santos has been working as a QA since 2018. He began his career as a graduate in Business Administration and made the transition to IT in 2011, starting as a Technical Document Analyst at MV Systems. In this role, he was responsible for writing user guides for customers and preparing release notes for new software versions. He then pursued postgraduate studies in Software Quality Engineering. His experience in business has enabled him to develop key skills in planning and executing tests. At companies like Accenture, he honed his skills in test automation, working with API testing using REST-Assured and Postman. Currently, at Ritain.io, he is responsible for developing and conducting automated tests with Robot Framework. For Jonathas, quality is not solely a QA responsibility but a team-wide commitment, where everyone must be passionate about quality and excellence in each release.
