Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, community partners, and volunteers at our events are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody. We aim to provide a safe space for all to collaborate, learn, and grow professionally.

All our events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language, gestures, and imagery are not appropriate for any venue (online or onsite), including conference talks, workshops, AMA, meetups, Facebook, Twitter, and other online media. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the events without a refund at the discretion of the The Test Tribe organizers.

Our core values include

Professionalism

We strive to demonstrate professional behavior with everyone in the industry.

Honesty and Integrity

We believe in doing what’s right and be honest in our choices and actions.

Community

We are building a community that encourages collaboration, learning, and growth by welcoming diverse views and giving everyone a fair chance to put across their views.

Forms of Harassment and Discrimination

We value the safety and security of all our participants and therefore do not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination, e.g. offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, sustained disruption of talks and other events, and unwelcome sexual attention. Inappropriate behavior, targeting, or deliberately intimidating individuals in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, or afraid is completely prohibited.

Any communication and online material from sponsors and speakers are subject to this Code of Conduct, too. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, wording, videos, links, etc.

Consequences for Harassment and Discrimination

Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled permanently, at the discretion of the event organizers, which in most cases are members of The Test Tribe event team.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to follow the warning immediately and refrain from any further misconduct.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including a warning to the offender or his/her/their expulsion from the event (with no refund if it was a paid-for event).

How to Report Harassment and Discrimination

If you are a victim of verbal abuse, harassment, or comments that perpetuate a system of inequality, such as sexism, racism or notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, be assured that you will have our support. Get in touch with us immediately.

During and after our events, our staff can be contacted via email ([email protected]). We will assist anyone who experiences harassment or discomfort to feel safe.

We expect cooperation from all participants to ensure a safe environment for everybody.

About the Community

‘The Test Tribe’ is a community initiative by a bunch of Passionate and Like-minded Software Testers with a goal to add their two cents to help the Testing craft get the glory it deserves. We especially want to change the way Testing is seen in India by encouraging Testers from this part of the world to have a continuous focus on Learning and Innovation. We aim to create offline and online platforms where Testers can “Collaborate, Learn, and Grow.”
