In the software industry, different companies adopt different approaches to develop and maintain systems with high-quality standards. But how can this quality be ensured? Should we test exhaustively, or incorporate processes that guarantee quality from the beginning of the development cycle?
Are testers the guardians of quality, or should developers be the first advocates of quality? Let’s explore these concepts based on real-world examples.
Diogo Rede began his career in Radiology but soon transitioned to IT, where he found his passion for Quality Assurance. With experience in companies such as Critical Software, Farfetch, TestRail, and currently Hugo Boss, he has worked across multiple industries (telecom, e-commerce, betting, fashion, testing) and in different testing areas such as web, mobile, and APIs, with a strong focus on automation. He has also led a dedicated test automation team. Today, he is QA Team Lead at Hugo Boss Digital Campus, where he built a team from scratch and leads the implementation of quality strategies in agile methodologies within the e-commerce product department.
