Quality Engineering teams are focusing on building fast feedback systems that improve quality across the entire organization workflow, not just limited to testing. Irrespective of the agile method, we often find that teams struggle to visualize the readiness of release deliverables while ceremonies have a feel-good view. As we evolved our own journey of optimizing quality across development workflows, we leveraged agile principles and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). It helped streamline production releases. VSM provided us with a holistic view of our processes. Visualizing the flow helps us identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement. When combined with agile practices, VSM becomes a powerful tool for data-driven decision-making. Through analysing metrics, we optimize quality and efficiency. In this talk, we explore how Data-driven approach provides us valuable insights to improve software quality throughout the entire development lifecycle. We will discuss how to integrate DevOps tools with VSM, use data-driven approaches, and transform quality processes from reactive to proactive. Attendees will learn strategies to optimize their development lifecycle, make informed decisions, and deliver high-quality software releases.
