Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an Automation Hackathon, or a Testing Hackathon?

This is an Automation Hackathon with challenges to be solved in Web, Mobile and API Automation.

How to signup as a Team?

All your team members need to register individually. Closer to the event we will send you separate team registration form that you can use to form and submit your team details.

Would we have Web Applications to Test or Mobile Applications

We will have challenges for both Web and Mobile Automation.

What Tech Stack is allowed to solve the given Automation Challenges?

You need to solve the challenges using UiPath’s AI-Powered Platform

Do I need to have Devices (Laptop / Smartphone) available?

Yes, you need your laptop or computer available.

Any other prerequisites?

Prior knowledge to UiPath platform is a big plus, for which we will arrange a complimentary intro session before the hackathon. You can attend it to stay ahead.

Besides this, make sure you have a strong primary Internet connection and arrange a backup connection as well if possible.

Where would the participants submit their final solution?

Details will be shared on the day of event.

Can we participate in a group?

Yes, we recommend participating as a Team/Group as that would allow you to do more and better work in a given time. Max team size can be 4.

Will I be awarded a Participation Certification if I attend?

Yes, a Participation Certificate will be awarded to every participant

I am in a different time zone, how do I participate?

The total duration of the Hackathon is ~36 Hours. You can work on the given challenges at any time in this window which is balanced across time zones. As long as you complete it by the deadline we are good. Also, you will get a recording of the initial intro session in the Discord channel to watch in case you miss it.

Are there bonus points for finishing the challenge early?

No. We want this to be an experience for you that concludes only with Quality work. Hence, we will take the final version only for the assessment, and submission time won’t have any role to play.

Is this a free-to-attend Event?

We charge a minimal amount of INR 100 for registrations to make sure we only attract serious participants.

Is this an “Open to all” Event?

Open to all Testing professionals who have basic knowledge of Automation or are hands-on with Automation. Manual Testers can also participate as UiPath’s platform is a no-code platform.

What would be the Evaluation Process?

There will be multiple Evaluation Rounds. More on this during the Event briefing session on the Event day.

Which Platform would be used for the Event brief and wrap?

Whole event briefing will be happening on “Hubilo”.

Where and how do we learn about the UiPath Platform in advance so that we are prepared?

You won’t have early access but you will get invite for the complimentary demo session that UiPath team would be arranging for this hackathon. Access to the platform would be opened on Event Day only.

What Award Categories will be there?

There are multiple award categories with prizes worth USD 10,000 (INR 8,50,000+)

Web Challenge Awards: 1st place ($3K), 2nd place ($2K), 3rd place ($1K)
Mobile Challenge Awards: 1st place ($1.5K), 2nd place ($1K), 3rd place ($500)

Can 'Manual Testers' sign up?

Yes! If you have a basic understanding of automation, you’re good to go. You will be asked to use a no-code/low-code platform, so you don’t need extensive automation knowledge to participate.

Do I need to be an AI expert to join the hackathon?

Not at all! The AI features in this hackathon are designed to be beginner-friendly. You’ll also get a step-by-step demo on how to use them, so you can participate confidently – no prior AI experience needed.
