One of the top three most misused and abused terms in testing is Exploratory Testing. From the time Dr. Cem Kaner coined it in 1985 to today in 2022, many people have shared their views. Still, many testers are confused and fail to see the beauty of exploratory testing or testing in general. This talk will take the audience through the following journey:

Ajay Balamurugadas, Senior Director QE, GSPANN
Ajay Balamurugadas goes by the handle ‘ajay184f’ in the testing community and is continuously re-inventing his testing methodology. Do I know the Machine on Which I Test?
At a point in the time of a Software Test Engineer’s career, she/he will try to understand the meaning and definitions of the craft
But, any time as a Test Engineer have you considered knowing what is your machine and what machine you need to run your test? I see it is important to know one’s machine. Is it a necessity for a Test Engineer to know the machine where she or he will run the tests? If yes, why? We will learn why it is important with the incidents which the testers experience.
