We are wired to think Quality means quality assurance and we are only responsible for ensuring requirements are met and bugs are found before the software is released to production. But the industry found testers being bottlenecking and slowing down the release and suddenly everyone could do this important role. What if there is another side of the coin, Where quality engineering is considered another medium to enhance developer productivity? Organizations, where quality is engineered in SDLC methodically and made to speed up developer work with constant support, are more than 50% likely to produce better quality software. In the last 15 years of Priyanka Halder’s career, she has seen this Quality evolution and has built many successful Quality engineering teams and practices ground up. In this talk, she will go over how quality engineering can play an acceleration tool in developer productivity with real-time examples.
Priyanka has more than 15 years of experience in Quality Engineering in various health tech and innovative startups like Oscar Health, GoodRx Inc, Heal, Homeme Inc, and Truecar.
