Session 1: Performance Engineering : 90’s View by Ganesh Padmanabhan
It is interesting to look how handling performance changed with time. Probably performance went beyond single-user profiling when mainframes started to support multiprogramming. In this talk i will walk you through the learning paths and basics of performance engineering.
Ganesh Padmanaban is part of ‘Non-Functional Testing CoE’ practice in cognizant. The last nine years Ganesh supported major performance initiatives for UK and US based Leading Banks in different roles including performance tester, performance analyst and worked on various technologies like Blockchain, RPA, Accessibility, Security testing and Robotics. Ganesh speaks and writes about performance engineering and learns new technologies every year. Currently working in India – Chennai.
Session 2: Security Assurance by Anuradha Raman
Quality assurance practices need to be seen in different view when the software delivery is done in DevOps and SecOps Approach. This talk will focus on Security Testing using open source tools like OWASP ZAP and how to integrate them with Jenkins.
The whole concept of DevSecOps relies on the agility of application development and security teams in integrating security as part of the development pipeline; a.k.a “shifting security left”. In such environments, security is pretty much everyone’s responsibility. With the current shortage of skills around, bringing agility and security as part of SecOps becomes an uphill battle. The possible solution to this skill shortage is to look at involving testers for Security Assurance.
We’ve made great strides automating many repetitive quality testing tasks and we can use the same approach to automating security tests. Lets do it!
